The Bolehland Sandiwara PT2 (WOW! ANOTHER BREAKING NEWS)

Latest update (Tuesday, 20-5-2008):

Ku Li continue to fight on

Gua Musang member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah was shocked over Dr Mahathir Mohamad's decision to quit party but vowed to continue challenging Pak Lah.

"I am shocked as well as anybody. Perhaps he decided to quit to send an ultimatum to Umno leaders and members that the leadership has to change. His decision to quit the party showed he was upset and angry,"

He also stressed that he will exhaust all ways and means to bring about the desired changes in the party.

Razaleigh has previously expressed his willingness to challenge Abdullah for the presidency in the party's December poll to "heal the party" in the aftermath of its worst ever general election performance.

Many, including Razaleigh and Mahathir, have blamed Abdullah for the bad performance in the March 8 polls.

When pressed on whether he would emulate Mahathir, he quipped: "I won't quit Umno."

PM shocked by Dr M's decision

(Malaysiakini) Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was shocked by his predecessor's decision to quit the party but will not meet him personally to ask him to reconsider the decision. Abdullah, who is also prime minister, was nevertheless confident that there would not be a mass exodus of party members following Dr Mahathir Mohamad's lead. He also vowed he would not step down as demanded by Mahathir and to instead continue leading the party.

"I was surprised that he resigned and does not want to be in Umno any more," the premier told reporters, after years of feuding between the pair. "I had never thought that he would actually take the step to leave the party." Abdullah said Mahathir's decision would "weaken the party to an extent" but that he did not expect any of the ruling party's lawmakers to quit.

"I think maybe some people will follow him. The question is whether you care for Umno or not," he said.
Asked whether he would step down to take responsibility for disastrous results in March 8 elections, he replied: "Why should I? I have a lot of work to do."

"The important thing is that Umno has to remain calm and understand that its members have to be loyal to the party and be strong and continue to carry out the struggle," he said.

Karpal: Mahathir a gutter politician

Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who has announced his shocking exit from Umno, “has been and still remains a gutter politician”, according to DAP national chairperson Karpal Singh.

He described the ex-Umno president and former premier’s action as calculated to “destabilise the government” under Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

“He has clearly shown that he is incapable of becoming a statesman. He has been, and still remains, a gutter politician,” Karpal said in a statement today.

“He should remain a member until he clears his name for the alleged offences committed when he was Umno president and prime minister.”

Umno veteran Tan Sri Sanusi Junid also quits UMNO, following Dr. Mahathir

Shahrir: Prepare for another general election

(Malaysiakini) In the wake of the shocking news that former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad had quit Umno, a senior party leader said that the country could face another general elections.

Shahrir Samad, the minister for domestic trade and consumer affairs, said Mahathir's surprise move could trigger a flurry of resignations from the embattled party that could force Abdullah to hold fresh general elections.

"By Tun doing this it could cause a situation where many other Umno lawmakers might resign," he said, using Mahathir's honorific title.

"If this happens then the government has no choice but to form a new government or call a fresh general election," Shahrir told AFP.

"Certainly it is not helpful or constructive to the struggle of Umno right now," he said, as the party fends off a challenge from opposition figurehead Anwar Ibrahim who says he could soon seize power with the help of defectors.

Shahrir, who is Johor Baru parliamentarian and Umno supreme council member, said that while Anwar was threatening to snatch lawmakers from the smaller parties with which Umno rules in coalition, Mahathir could chip away at the ranks of the ruling party itself.

"This will be a reduction of the number of Umno lawmakers which is the ruling party of the present government," he said.

"I suppose it is Mahathir's way of trying to force a call for a referendum from the grassroots."

The Star's website quoted Umno information chief Muhammad Muhammad Taib as saying he was surprised at Mahathir's abrupt departure.

"Every member has the right to join or leave the party," he said.

Asked whether Umno would convene an emergency meeting in response to the move, he said that "we will wait and see"

Even if there is another election, Barisan will surely win again. People can clearly see that Pakatan is still weak and unable to lead the states properly.

welcome back Barisan. Sort of miss your stupid comments. LOL

In my opinion, Pakatan will win this time. Pakatan is more stable than Barisan.

BN = cracking everywhere

barisan is right. People will vote for BN because they are still the best choice. Pakatan is weak and inexperience. They took the momentum of the heat in last GE.

This time, it wont be so easy anymore. Hidup Barisan!

BN will not a single state this time round. You are dreaming. Pakatan will sweep dry. BN's problem is its entire leadership are scumbags. Look at Dollah? Hey..don't mention c4, because the people will run. He may not even recapture Pekan seat. I can assure you Pakatan will get2/3 majority. Anyway, even now they own, but Bee Ann (BN) and Ameno rigged the elections. People are awake now and RaSHIT can't manipulate anyone again. He is exposed. Hurrah! Try it again.

r.i.p bee ann (bn),

I disagree. I think the people will still vote for BN. They just wanted to teach BN a lesson in heat of the moment but now, it is gone.

BN has done many things that the people want and show that they listen. They are more experience and have better quality leader in terms of governance. So BN will win again although may be they still cant get the 2/3 majority.

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you
That is how I know you go on.

Far across the distance
and spaces between us
You have come to show you go on.

Near, Far,
wherever you are,
I believe that the heart does go on.

Once more, you opened the door
And you're here in my heart,
and my heart will go on and on.

HAHAHAHA
